Friday, March 30th, 2007Comments Posting? WHAT?
Monday, February 5th, 2007Why do people have to populate the web, and my blog, with all their CRAP? Sometimes I wonder about the basic nature of man, his abilities to destroy and to create seem to topple to the destructive side more often than not. Why – is it because it’s far easier to destroy or break down what has been created than it is to theorize and create something new?
So I get busy sometimes, and occasionally it really is like I am in some cocoon, building and rebuilding the basis of myself in a sanctuary of comfort and blissful solitude. People who really know me well don’t take offense, they are aware that sometimes I am not seen or heard from in months. The past two weeks or so, I was going through some healing time. I refer to this as my down time of peaceful bliss, if you will. I was not focused on this BLOG. Imagine my surprise when I logged in the other day.
First, let me apologize to any reader I had no idea that comments were just automatically posting (a setting in word press that I quickly remedied). Suffice it to say, every lame ass over the top ridiculous post was there unbeknownst to me. Of the 60 or so comments posted to my blog, only one was related to the contents of my blog and only one was decent and did not contain profanity or some ‘invitation’to porn.
I don’t care about what people do, their business is private. I do object to these posts. Who do these people think they are? Putting up trash on sites randomly. I certainly did not condone the contents of them and I am appalled to say the least.
But, just humankind is forever discovering that all his inventions have a dark side, so do I realize today that people are willing to use other people’s blogs as an avenue to push their agendas. Impossible to take this personally, they don’t know or even care one bit about me! Yet, this is how people are. Willing to use one another. Ruthless. From this point on, no one will ever get past the “gatekeeper“ that is how it will be!!!

From Screenplay to Book to Screenplay
Friday, May 5th, 2006It’s been a while – but yesterday I found the inspiration I needed to push me toward finishing my book. Between major time consuming projects for Aeon, I am working on my novel. Not to mention painting the house and summer traveling. The book is now taking definite form, which is nice.
The story and characters have lived in my mind for many years, only taking smokey less-than-concrete shape when I wrote the treatment and the first draft of the screenplay [all 30 pages of it]. When I decided to expand to a full commercial length script, I found myself pouring over notes and trying to firm up back history and personality development of the characters. That’s when I decided to write the full novel, finally allowing these people in the story to have a fuller, richer experience.
At certain points, one of the characters will defy my original concept of who and what they are. Changes, like a summer breeze, sweep over me. Opening my mind, I embrace these changes. The story is evolving.
Once the book is complete, I have only to translate it back into a screenplay. There is much to look forward to.
No Longer Lurking
Saturday, January 28th, 2006It’s no secret, blogging is a cool way to post information and get the word out about what’s going on in your life. For the last year or so, I have said to myself, “When I get some free time, I’ll start to blog”.
I actually don’t have extra time to blog, but from this moment I plan to set aside some time on a weekly basis. I love to learn and I will continue to do so as long as I can, and I am interested in keeping up with as many technologies as I can.
2005 was a very interesting year for me. I learned a great deal this year, made some incredible strides in my personal life as well as my professional one. This year will be even better! 2006 is definitely the year for me.
My friends call me an optimist, because I always look at the sunny side of life. I think it’s more important to create your own destiny than to be satisfied with something other than your ideal. There will always be setbacks, that’s part of life – and it’s not enough to just ‘think positive’. What I believe is that one creates their own destiny through their everyday thoughts.
I believe all you have to do is make a decision about where you want to be in life, and then take action. Be very descriptive about your desires, your goals. No detail is too small. Visualize what you want to happen, and focus on that idea, and your subconscious mind will find a way to make it happen.
It’s something I have done all my life. I used to think that I was just really lucky because the things I wanted to happen seem to come my way. Then I realized that there is more to it than luck. Many people I speak to say the same thing, they visualize things they want and these things manifest.
This blog will be about technology, and manifesting your goals into reality, and many other things. Also, I’ll be posting information on several of the websites I am doing for clients, as well as Aeon Media LLC.
